My Favorite Chicago group, the Ko*Starz trio, have landed the official Mixtape of the summer, “Summer Solstice”. I was given the courtesy to preview the entire album (which drops today!), and I must say I absolutely love it. It’s new age hip hop infused with electro-soulful-and vibrant melodies; A collection of feel good music and straight bangers! An experience that Chicago the World has been missing!! The rhymes are thoughtful and the production is rich. Although, it may sound similar to the hip-hop we know, the lyrics offer their audience a positive inspired energy with most the songs off the Solstice.
