Lindsay, who has successfully launched a collection of leggings and tanning spray in a line, will launch five styles of tights to her legwear brand.
“Tights are another staple, just like leggings,” Lindsay tells WWD of her decision to expand her legwear brand. “For girls that don’t want to wear socks with their leggings, tights are a natural alternative. They are a sexy and a classic staple.”
Lindsay’s 6126 hosiery launched in July at Intuition Boutique in Los Angeles.
And she’s apparently doing something verrryy right!!!!?
Despite a rather exclusive price tag in these reccessionista times, Lindsey’s debut legwear line is selling like kool-aid:
“They’re blowing off the shelves,” says Jill Lowe, publicist for high-end Hollywood boutique Intuition.
The Marilyn Monroe-inspired leggings – which cost anywhere from $44 to $132 -
are also flying out the doors at Henri Bendel, Nordstrom, Intermix and Lisa Kline.
From leopard prints to zippered black tights, Lindsay’s got a lil’ something for everyone with 35 styles in various colors and patterns. Across the board, stores say, Lohan’s best-seller is her Mr. President leggings – the most expensive and unique-looking option.
Black with grey knee patches, the $132 tights are a big hit from coast to coast.
Overall, the line had some haut pieces. Though some are bordering skank, Im pretty happy about the collection as a whole.
